Hanari dutifully set down her luggage in the corner of the room, and her eyes drifted to the small black piano that had clearly not been touched by anyone for quite a while. The lid was firmly shut, and a few milimeters of dust had been acquired in her absence. The small apartment was eerily quiet. Her parents had dropped her off from the airport before rushing out again to their individual appointments. Mom and dad were just the same as the last time she'd seen them. Perhaps it was because they didn't have the time to sit around and contemplate about their old ages. They'd developed that crazily busy lifestyle, and now they couldn't get rid of it.
Her dark eyes softened as she blew on the dust and opened the lid. She could see where she had marked the keys when she had first started playing. The crooked letters were in Korean. The tape had yellowed and faded but Sky couldn't bear to take them off. She reached out to press do, and smiled when she heard the clear response. It was perfectly tuned, although it had probably only been played on once or twice by visitors since it had been brought here. They would have probably left the piano at her grandparent's home with Sky, but grandmother had insisted that Sky could just as well play the piano their aunt had.
The even clear responses from the piano soothed her. She stretched out her fingers once before plunging into the excercise routine she'd been taught to do by her last teacher. Her fingers smoothly played E major and then in contramotion. After that she played her chords and the arpeggio. Satisfied that her fingers had been warmed up she reached for the first book that was stacked on the piano.
She stuttered over a few notes before everything was even again. The notes called forth an old memory that made Sky smile. She was seven again and there were her sisters dancing to this waltz. They were tripping and falling over their new pointe shoes and Sky's small hands were struggling to play the chords that required octaves. She could hear her sister's giggles and the ungraceful thumping as they attempted to balance en pointe without grabbing anything. Mom and dad were laughing and pointing at Iris and Lily. That had been the last time they were in London. When they started in the Lower School.
She remembered how her sisters had looked that day too. Straight and confident, even though their faces were the only ones that were Asian. Sky had watched them get dressed in their blue leotards and pull their hair back until their face seemed strained from the pressure.
Sky hadn't seen her sisters for a while. She'd heard their voices quite ocasionally on the phone, but apparently they were quite busy. Both of them were in Le Ballet D'or and apparently trying to get back into the Royal Ballet as well. They were both beautiful and ambitious. She wished she could be like them once in a while. She sighed as the small waltz came to an end, and silence filled the room once more. She'd halfheartedly hoped for a glimpse of her sisters when she'd stepped off the plane. Obviously it had all been hopeless.
They were probably even more crazy about their dancing than they had last time. Sky loved playing the piano too, but she didn't think she was quite as infatuated as her sisters were with dancing. Perhaps they were spinning in tulle and satin right now. They'd wanted to be prima ballerinas since they were three, and there was no one in the world that could stop them.
Sky couldn't help but admire, love, and still hate them for the way they were living out their lives. Both of them had practically bombed school and everywhere they moved they only learned enough of the language to get by in their classes. She'd heard they were now fluent in English though. Sky had a vague feeling that they'd probably dance until one of them sustained an injury that took them out of dancing sometime in the next ten years. It seemed that was the story of all primas. They were like roses. They bloomed quickly and thus faded quickly as well.
Sky didn't want to fade. Perhaps that was why she was so deathly scared of blooming. If she opened her petals it would only be time before those petals would wilt and fall off, one by one. Wasn't it safer to just be a tree? They lived for so long and even in the winter, when it seemed they'd already died they sprung to life again every year. Yes, Sky didn't want to be a flower. She would rather be a sturdy sapling tree. Her sisters would laughed if she told them that. Better to be a flower little Sky, who is pretty for a little while, than a tree who never is. Who knew. Sky sighed again and started on Blumenlied, or Flower Song. Music was much more simpler than people.

Celebrity: Yuri (À¯¸®)
Physical Appearance:
Sky has never been the beauty her sisters were, but she has mildly pleasing looks. She stands fairly short at exactly five feet two inches, but has a slim build. Her arms and legs are long compared to her build, and her neck probably has a few more centimeters on it than average. She was awkwardly balanced and therefore affectionately nicknamed "monkey" when she was younger, but she has managed to shed off the nickname in the past few years.
She has a small round face that is a bit tanned, despite the fact that she doesn't run around outside all that often. Her eyes are dark brown, but look black unless they're placed directly under a light. Her hair is naturally dark black as well as straight, but ocasionally if she's nagged enough by her sisters she will dye and curl it for their approval.
Sky isn't the girl who cares about how she looks. She'll throw on whatever her hand reaches first, unless of course she knows that she'll be seeing someone that does care about such things. Sky goes blank whenever the topic of fashion comes out. She's been wearing a school uniform in Korea for the past few yeras, which she liked much better than having to pick out something every single day that "matched". She never paints her nails and rarely chooses to where heels when she can have a comfy pair of sneakers instead. The same goes for her hair. She either ties it in a ponytail or leaves it alone.
Bodily Markings:
A Layer Beneath
Personality:
There is a lot hidden underneath the simple looks that Sky posses. A lot of it the pressure from being under two sisters who are twin stars and beautiful dancers. So, despite her talents as a pianist, she has never felt satisfied with the skills she has. Sky always has a bit of jealousy for everyone she knows, even about the silliest things. She is acutely sensitive to changes in people around her.
Most of the time Sky is a bit of a simpleton. She has a tendency to slightly fade next to her budding sisters, and most of the time they are labeled as family only because of their Asian looks. She smiles when she’s supposed to smile and makes the appropriate comments at the appropriate time. She never has any outbursts that could embarrass anyone, and never leaves anything peculiar for people to remember her.
Sky tends to take out her other side alone or with her most intimately close friends. She wages war inside her head and plays out scenes and scenes of possibilities for the future. She worries more than she should most of the time and makes it a habit to think everything out before she does anything. Sky is overly pessimistic and rarely sees the good side of things before the bad.
Sky tends to mother most of her friends, which mildly annoys some of them and just amuses the others. She keeps the carefree ones in check and ticks off the ones that think they can take care of themselves. Sky usually feels that it is her job to act as the "conscience" of the group, and makes it a point to steer clear of any course that could head towards trouble.
Sky doesn't have a love life and probably won't in the near future. She simply doesn't understand what her friends find pleasing about silly boys. Logic cannot be applied to them in any way, which frustrates her, and naturally she stays away. She' happy enough to console tearful friends, but her thoughts always conclude that she will not distract herself with silly things like boys unless she is bored out of her mind.
Despite all this Sky is fairly innocent. She's never been in a strong city atmosphere, and was never pushed to be extremely competitive like her her siblings. She knows the right way to treat people, and usually sticks to the morals her parents have taught her. Dirty tricks are simply too difficult and puzzling for her to carry out, and she'd prefer to just avoid people she dislikes all together. She enjoys pleasing others for the most part, and makes it a point to be polite to everyone, whether she likes them or not.

History:
Her mother and father were both spectacularly intelligent. They both lived in the sort of town where everyone lives in the same place for their whole lives, tilling the field every year and following a predictable lifestyle. Her mother was the diligent student who always had a book open, and the one whose family was a bit better of. Her father was a bit more rowdy and perhaps a bit immature for his age, because he was the youngest of seven siblings.
Either way, both of them made it to top universities in Seoul, the capital, and with their good degrees in hand were ushered into spots in the same company. Somehow they both ended up married and that was when the traveling began. Lily and Iris were born in India, the first time they'd been moved out. They stayed there for two years before moving back to Korea. Sky was born there and from that point they moved in and out of the country for years. By the time Sky was ten she'd been to the US, Japan, Germany, and France. Sky dutifully mastered each of these languages, and while she struggled with Korean for a while she soon caught the hang of that language as well.
Everywhere they moved the twins practiced ballet. It began as a silly whim when they were little, and their parents indulged it, but it blossomed into something much more than they could control. Meanwhile Sky played the role of the obedient child. She didn't rebel like typical children and simply sat smiling, playing the piano, and doing her homework. She was her mother's child, obedient and smart.
Of course Lily and Iris were quite smart as well, but in the polar opposite direction as Sky. They were competitive and ambitious and leapt at every chance to upgrade theirs status in their dancing academies. They were twin flowers when they danced, and had a considerable amount of talent. They also failed to bring their attention to most other things, such as their studying, even when threatened that they would not be able to dance. Sky admired their bravery at times, although she never trying mimicking their behavior herself.
Eventually the Royal Ballet School in London came up. It became a rather fought over issue for half a year, before both mother and father relented and allowed them to enroll in the boarding school. At that time they were still in Korea, although it was clear that they would soon be moving again. The twins were eleven, and Sky was seven. When they left the country again they let Sky stay with their grandparents. Perhaps they wanted her to have a longer stay at Korea so she could master the language. She stayed for two more years before she was called to London as well.
She had moved to America once before and thus the language was not hard for her to grasp this time. Her sisters were in the Lower School of the Royal Ballet and Sky simply took piano lessons from another old lady, the way she always did, wherever she went. Somehow, even at this point her parents failed to notice that Sky was amazingly talented on the piano. They were always occupied with worrying about coming up with enough money to scrape tuition fees. Several times Sky gave up her lessons so her sisters could continue to dance. The cost for each of them every year was ?0,000,and not an easy sum to come up with, even for two well-known lawyers.
She moved again a few more times and had moved back to the United Kingdom again, this time into London. Her sisters are both dancers in Le Ballet D'or, both on the verge of tipping into the world of muses. As of now, Sky knows nothing of the dark culture of the place, and she's still cautiously testing the water to see if everything is all right. It appears she's already caught on that all is not as it seems, and is now wheedling away at her sisters to try and figure out what all the mysteries shrouding some of the ballerinas are.
